White Widow: a world-famous legend.
Although the exact origins of this variety remain unclear, White Widow is widely recognised as a Dutch classic that originated in the Netherlands.
The original White Widow was created by crossing a Brazilian sativa landrace with an indica hybrid from South India. According to legend, its roots trace back to breeders in the hills of Kerala aiming to develop resin-rich buds.
After rising to global fame in the 1990s, White Widow spread worldwide, leading to numerous versions being released over the years. Today, nearly every established seed bank includes White Widow, and Ghost Town Seeds is no exception.
The breeders at Royal Queen Seeds developed their own version using White Widow S1 genetics. The RQS edition is perfectly balanced, consisting of 50% sativa and 50% indica.
The dense buds contain high levels of the terpenes myrcene, pinene, and caryophyllene. Together, these create a flavour profile characterised by spicy, earthy, and peppery notes.
The THC content of this strain is reported to be around 19%.
