Terms of service

1. Who We Are and Scope
These terms apply to purchases made through the online store at ghosttownseeds.fi, operated by Ghost Town Seeds Oy, Business ID 3325098-9, VAT ID FI33250989, Kuunkierros 1 T 5, 02210 Espoo, Finland (“Ghost Town Seeds”, “we”, “us”).
The online store is intended for consumers. Business and wholesale orders are handled separately outside this online store under separately agreed terms, and this document does not apply to them.
Purchases made from our physical stores in Espoo and Lahti are governed by Finnish law and any notices displayed in the store. Sections 6–7 of these terms (delivery and the right of withdrawal in distance selling) apply only to online orders.
By placing an order, you accept these terms. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer under Finnish consumer protection law or EU legislation.
2. Age Restriction (18+)
We sell products only to persons aged 18 or over. By placing an order, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old. We may request proof of age and cancel orders where age cannot be verified.
3. Products and Lawful Use
3.1 Cannabis seeds – for collection purposes only. We sell cannabis seeds solely for collection, genetic preservation and other lawful purposes. Product descriptions are provided purely as educational information for collectors regarding the characteristics of different varieties. Under Finnish law, cultivating hemp, or attempting to cultivate it, for use as a narcotic is a criminal offence punishable by a fine or imprisonment for up to two years. We do not provide advice on cannabis cultivation. By ordering seeds, you confirm that you are purchasing them only for the lawful purposes stated above and that you will not germinate or cultivate them in any area where doing so is illegal.
3.2 Headshop and smoking accessories. You agree to use the products you purchase exclusively with legal herbs and under no circumstances with tobacco or illegal substances. Misuse of the products is contrary to these terms, and we are not responsible for any unlawful use of the products by the customer.
3.3 CBD products. CBD products are sold only in lawful forms and without medical or health claims.
3.4 Compliance with local laws. We deliver products to Finland and throughout the European Union. Before ordering, you are responsible for checking whether the products you order are permitted under the laws of the destination country. We may refuse to ship certain products, such as cannabis seeds, to countries where they are restricted.
4. Orders and Payment
Your order becomes binding once we have confirmed it. Orders are processed and dispatched only after payment has been received.
Payment method available in the online store: bank transfer.
When paying by bank transfer, include your order number in the payment message field to speed up processing.
If an order has not been paid within 7 days, we will cancel it and return the products to stock.
5. Prices
Prices are stated in euros (EUR) and include Finnish value-added tax. Delivery charges are shown at checkout before the order is confirmed. The price valid at the time the order is placed applies to the order. We reserve the right to correct obvious pricing errors before a contract is formed.
6. Delivery
We deliver to Finland and other EU countries. Estimated delivery times are shown at checkout. Unless otherwise agreed, delivery will take place no later than 30 days after the order is placed. The risk of loss of or damage to the goods passes to the consumer when the consumer receives the goods.
Uncollected orders.
Failing to collect a parcel is not the same as cancelling or returning an order. To cancel a purchase, you must always submit a separate cancellation notice to our customer service.
If a parcel is returned to us because it was not collected, we can resend it at your request. In such cases, we will charge the actual delivery costs of the new shipment.
If you do not want the order to be resent and the parcel was left uncollected without a separate cancellation notice, we reserve the right to charge the customer the handling and delivery costs arising from the return.
7. Right of Withdrawal (14 Days – Consumers)
You have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving the goods without giving any reason.
We will refund all payments received from you, including standard delivery charges, within 14 days of receiving your notice of withdrawal. We may withhold the refund until we have received the goods back or until you have provided evidence that you have returned them. Refunds will be made using the payment method applicable to the customer.
To cancel your order, first contact our customer service by email at info@gtseeds.fi or by phone at +358 50 462 6782, or use the model withdrawal form below. Return the goods within 14 days of submitting your notice of withdrawal. You are responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods.
You may inspect the goods in the same way as you would in a physical store. If the value of the goods has decreased because they have been handled more than necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning, we may deduct the loss in value from the amount refunded.
Exceptions. The right of withdrawal does not apply to sealed goods that are not suitable for return for health protection or hygiene reasons once the packaging has been opened, such as seeds, certain vape/vaporiser products, mouthpieces and similar products, or to goods that are liable to deteriorate rapidly.

8. Defects and Warranty
We are liable for defects in goods in accordance with the Finnish Consumer Protection Act. The goods must conform to the contract, and defects that existed at the time of delivery will primarily be remedied by repairing or replacing the product or, where this is not possible, by a price reduction or cancellation of the sale. This statutory liability for defects applies regardless of any separate manufacturer’s warranty and is free of charge to you.
If a product arrives damaged or you receive the wrong product, contact us at info@gtseeds.fi, provide your order number and send photographs before returning any product.
9. Website, Content and Use
All content on ghosttownseeds.fi, including text, images, logos and the Ghost Town Seeds brand, belongs to us or our licensors. Breeder and variety names belong to their respective owners. You may not use the website unlawfully, provide false information, purchase on behalf of minors or interfere with the operation of the website. We may remove reviews or content that is unlawful or misleading and may close accounts that violate these terms. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability of the website.
No scraping or automated data collection. You may not use bots, scraping software, crawlers, data-mining tools or any other automated means to access, copy, collect or monitor website content, prices, product descriptions or other materials without our prior written consent. This does not restrict indexing by legitimate search engines, such as Google or Bing, in accordance with our robots.txt file.
Our pricing, product descriptions and catalogue structure represent a substantial investment of time, expertise and resources in obtaining, verifying and presenting this content, and together constitute a database protected under the EU Database Directive (96/9/EC) and its national implementation in Finland. Copying or reusing this database or a substantial part of it without our consent is prohibited, regardless of whether individual texts may separately qualify for copyright protection.
We may block access to the website, take technical measures such as rate limiting or blocking IP addresses, and pursue legal remedies in response to violations of this section.
10. Limitation of Liability
We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control (force majeure). Nothing in these terms limits our liability where it cannot legally be limited, including liability to consumers for defective products, personal injury caused by negligence or liability arising under mandatory consumer protection legislation.
11. Privacy and Cookies
Personal data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation).
11.1 Cookie Policy
This website uses cookies and similar technologies (“cookies”) when you visit ghosttownseeds.fi. This section explains what they are, why we use them and how you can manage them.
What cookies are. Cookies are small text files stored on your device to enable the website to function, remember your preferences and help us understand how the website is used.
Categories we use:
- Strictly necessary cookies. These are required for the website to function, including the shopping cart, checkout, secure login, load balancing, fraud prevention, the 18+ age-verification window and hCaptcha for bot and spam protection. These cookies cannot be disabled and do not require consent because they are necessary to provide the service you have requested.
- Functional/preference cookies. These remember settings such as your selected country, currency and language.
- Analytics cookies. These help us understand how visitors use the website, such as which pages are viewed and where traffic comes from, so that we can improve it. They are set only with your consent.
- Marketing/advertising cookies. These are used to display relevant advertisements and measure their effectiveness on platforms such as Meta (Facebook/Instagram) and TikTok, where we maintain business pages. They are set only with your consent.
Consent. On your first visit, the cookie banner allows you to accept all cookies, reject non-essential cookies or manage your preferences by category in accordance with electronic communications privacy rules (ePrivacy) and the GDPR. You can change your choice at any time by clearing cookies from your browser. Strictly necessary cookies are always active because the website cannot function without them.
Third parties. Some cookies are set by third-party services that we use to operate the store, such as Shopify as our e-commerce platform, payment providers, hCaptcha and, where enabled, analytics and social media platforms. Each provider’s own privacy and cookie policies apply to their processing. Please refer to their respective privacy notices.
Managing cookies through your browser. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Please note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent parts of the website, such as the checkout, from functioning.
Changes. We may update this Cookie Policy as our use of cookies changes. The version in effect at the time of your visit applies.

12. Governing Law and Disputes
These terms are governed by Finnish law. This does not deprive a consumer of any mandatory protection granted by the laws of the EU country in which the consumer resides.
If you are dissatisfied with your order, please contact us first at info@gtseeds.fi. Consumers residing in Finland may contact the Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority’s Consumer Advisory Services (kkv.fi) and, if the matter is not resolved, the Finnish Consumer Disputes Board (kuluttajariita.fi). Consumers residing in other EU countries may contact their local European Consumer Centre through ECC-Net.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms. The version in effect at the time the order is placed will apply to that order.
