Fatalii - Champion C. baccatum, approx. 10 seeds

Champion is a mildly hot and very flavourful chilli that Fatalii Seeds has grown almost every year since the 2000s. The variety is known for its distinctive, fruity-sweet flavour, which is at its best when the pods are picked just before full ripeness: the pale yellow-orange stage is the peak of its flavour.

Unlike many "Bishop's Hat" style chillies, Champion stands out for its fruitiness and a particularly pleasant aroma. It is very productive and easy to grow, a good choice for the home garden.

Difficulty level: 1 (very easy to grow), a dependable, low-maintenance variety.
